Robotics

Robotics is an after-school, extracurricular program for students in grades four and five. Students meet throughout the winter months to construct LEGO NXT robots and program them with the icon-based, Mindstorms software. In this program, students develop skills in problem solving, teamwork, communication, computer programming, robot construction, as well as many other higher level thinking skills.

At St. Benedict School,

“We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist . . . using technologies that haven’t been invented . . . . in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet.”
